Greatresponder.com – 2011-09-03 – On Monday, the innovative web hosting provider Savvis made the announcement that it has launching their new premier service profile for the Savvis Symphony Virtual Private Data Center enterprise-class cloud solution. This new service, Savvis Symphony VPDC, that has been launches initially in June 2010 will enable end users to define, configure and deploy a full virtual data center without having to procure, install, configure or manage hardware.
In the newest version of the service, Symphony VPDC Premier, the clients are offered a service level for cloud-based enterprise applications to combine resource commitment and priority, security, redundancy, support and performance needed for large-scale, essential enterprise applications.
the service profile complements Symphony VPDC’s existing essential and balanced profiles, giving users multiple tiers of service to match application need to service levels and cost.
“We continue to enhance our cloud services to further enable innovation for our enterprise clients, proving that mission-critical clouds are possible,” said Bryan Doerr, chief technology officer at Savvis. “Savvis Symphony delivers tight alignment between IT investment and business return, allowing our clients to seamlessly scale to production and refocus resources toward growing their business instead of staffing IT operations.”
The new service, Premier, allows end clients to optimize their virtual data center infrastructure in many dimensions, including compute services, bandwidth, storage and security, as did the other service profiles of Savvis Symphony VPDC.
Premier’s tier of service includes the “most favorable resource attributes” in network, memory, CPU and storage, including packet priority, CPU and memory reservation, disk access performances and provisioning ratios, said the company.
Users are given the assurance that their applications will perform as expected, on a continuous basis, in the cloud.
A couple on specific attributes that are proper to the services are allocation, provisioning ratios and prioritization, highest SLA, cloud support, three-tier ILM, fully managed virtual servers, three-tier private VLANs, and pooled, fixed server load balancers.
