Greatresponder.com – 2011-10-29 - On Tuesday, the web hosting company ServInt made the announcement that it has named the former director of engineering, Kevin Nicastro, the new position of vice president of innovation and technology. Nicastro joined the web hosting provider in 2004 and for the past year has served as ServInt’s director of engineering.
Nicastro will be leading the design team responsible for all of ServInt’s hosting-related technological innovations and new product deployments as part of his new possition. Nicastro will be reporting directly to the web hosting provider’s chief technology officer Matt Loschert. Nicastro joined the web hosting provider in 2004 and for the past year has served as ServInt’s director of engineering.
“Kevin has been an invaluable asset to ServInt,” said Loschert. “He has been at the core of all our growth-focused engineering innovations – from our highly redundant, super-low-latency networks to the rapid expansion of our hosting infrastructure. In this new position, he will lead an expanded team of our brightest product engineers – a team that is exclusively focused on designing products that we believe will revolutionize the managed-hosting industry.”
Nicastro has about 20 years of experience in designing innovative data networking, storage and hosting systems. He was the leader of the teams responsible for building and designing ServInt’s core networks, validating new cloud-based hosting systems, and managing the data centers.
Nicastro also has worked in lots of regional and nationwide IP networks as well as data centers worldwide to built and supervise.
