Greatresponder.com – 2011-09-25 – On Tuesday, the web hosting company and managed servics provider Latisys made that announcement that it has finally opened in Irvine, California, the first 22,000 square feet and 10 MW of power in its 93,000 square foot data center. The web hosting provider offered guided tours within the newly opened data center on the 22 of September, the day of its grand opening event.


This second brand new data center is adjacent to Latisys’ existing 50,000 square foot data center, which has been serving business customers since 1994. The 93,000 square foot facility makes Latisys the largest data center operator in the Orange County market.


The stop that Latisys took will benifit it greatly as the company will now remain uniquely positioned with high density power and cooling to meet the web hosting provider’s customer requirements for managed hosting, cloud solutions and data center colocation.


“Latisys has committed significant capital and resources to the Orange County market by adding state-of-the-art infrastructure, investing in cloud technologies with high availability platforms, and building out a deep team of data center industry veterans,” said Tom Panarisi, regional vice president of Latisys. “Our flexible approach to delivering IT infrastructure services is driving strong growth for the firm and our position as the data center provider of choice for a diverse range of more than 300 Orange County and Los Angeles area businesses.”


The recently commissioned physical space and power are not the only enhanceing options the company added. the web hosting company Latisys now provides an enhanced offering for large enterprises and service providers with significant high-density power and cooling needs.


Latisys eliminates capital expenditures for the enterprise by delivering complete IT infrastructure solutions, including the necessary power, cooling and physical security, through its service level agreement rather than lease.


The web hosting company will now be able to help customers to achieve on-demand benefits, including reduced TCO with elimination of capital expenditures, scalable HD power and N+1 cooling, and security features such as multi-layered security systems, digital video surveillance, network monitors and a a 24-hour manned Network Operations Center thanks to the new Irvine data centers.


The web hosting company Latisys own a couple of high-density, Tier III data centers in Irvine, Denver, Chicago and North Virginia, which it recently completed.
