Web Hosting Provider Go Daddy Implementes Trend Micro Deep Security

Greatresponder – 2011-08-21 – On Thursday, the web hosting provider and leading domain registrar Go Daddy has made he announcement that it has implemented Trend Micro Deep Security to protect systems in its data centers, as stated in a recent press release.


According to this recent press release report, the extremely secure solutions designed by Trend Micro was created to provide advanced protection to physical, virtual or cloud servers, as well virtual desktops for end users.


“Since Trend Micro Deep Security has a small footprint, it allows us to keep the same customer density on our servers. The Deep Security console is very easy to use, and anything you can do from the console can be carried out automatically to keep the cost of administration low,” Todd Redfoot, Go Daddy chief information security officer said in a statement.


Trend Micro claims that its security solution has allowed the web hosting company, Go Daddy, to block threats in the cloud before they could even reach Go Daddy network and servers. With customized rules the service will also improve visibility of threat activity and responds to changing threats.


Deep Security was designed to ensure the combination of intrusion detection and prevention, firewall, integrity monitoring, log inspection, and agentless anti-malware capabilities.


The solution supports compliance with standards and regulations like PCI, FISMA and HIPAA.


The web hosting company Go Daddy is certified by CIRA as the world’s #1 domain registrar and has currently more than 9.4 million customers, more than 49 million domains and maintains more than five million active hosting accounts.
